High Angle Rescue

Get ready to get hands on and learn what to do when things do NOT go right in the hills. Drawing on experience from time spent on the Yosemite SAR team as well as personal experience with accidents in the mountains, Graham will be covering the basics of self-rescue on both rock and mountain faces. This clinic will cover: the basic knots used in rescue situations, pulley systems, rappelling with a partner, a short discussion of med kits on rout, and a discussion of a number of real-world scenarios. 

Prerequisite: Intermediate/Advanced Climbing Skills

Climbing Harness
Rock Shoes
Tubular belay device (ATC or Reverso)
Locking carabiners (4)
Non-locking carabiners (4)
Personal anchor system
Prussik/hollow block for rappelling
